Specialty Tools 101:
- Sewer Jetter: Uses high water pressure to unclog and clean sewer lines. This is the best method for clearing a sewer line and cleans the line for a more accurate camera inspection.
- Sewer Cable Machines: Use cables of various sizes to clear sewer lines. While the Jetter is preferred, the variety of cable machines we offer will get the job done cleanly and efficiently.
- Sewer Camera: Inspects sewer line using a high resolution camera and recording device. This pinpoint sewer issues or potential issues.
- Utility Locates: We use Rigid locating equipment which will allow us to locate your sewer and water lines accurately.
- Pro Press & Mega Press: Allow for a fire-free copper fitting repair or addition with copper up to 4”. No solder or flux required, so no corrosion will occur at the fittings. Mega press allows for an oil-free repair or extension of a gas system up to 2”.
- Lasers and Transits: When precision is paramount and missing by and inch is missing by a mile, lasers are necessary. We use laser transits for accurate fall on sewer lines over large distances and laser plumb bobs for keeping piping plumb in or on the walls.
- Pipe Thawing and Drying: We offer multiple heating solutions for thawing pipes during extreme cold temperatures. For Dust, exhaust removal and drying we offer multiple air moving solutions.
- Leak Detection Tools: We use a combination of acoustic leak detection equipment, thermal imaging, and tracer gas to help locate hidden water leaks with as little disruption as possible. These tools allow us to listen for underground or in-wall leaks, identify temperature changes that may point to moisture, and use safe tracer gas methods when leaks are difficult to pinpoint by sound alone. While every leak is different, having multiple detection methods helps us narrow down the problem area more accurately before repairs begin.
- Concrete Saws, Coring & Jackhammers: We utilize wet concrete saws for interior remodels requiring concrete removal. This method reduces the amount of dust generated. For repairs requiring foundation penetrations we utilize a large coring machine which cuts clean, circular holes through concrete.
- Pumps & Generators: We don’t get to decide when plumbing fails and for that reason we are prepared for harsh conditions. Some repairs have to be made live and keeping water out of the trench is necessary. We have power and pump options to get the job done.
- Soil Compaction: We install a lot of yard lines and areas crossing drive ways or sidewalks need proper compaction. We use a variety of compacting equipment to assure the soil is compacted properly where it is needed most.
- Excavators & Heavy Equipment: We use a large excavator for yard line repairs and replacements and a small excavator for interior excavations. The small excavator can fit through a 3’ door and is excellent in commercial and large residential remodels requiring significant interior excavation. This machine uses an exhaust scrubber which filters the exhaust into safe breathable air. For projects requiring haul off, we use a dump truck to safely transport construction spoils.
